Karen Taylor

Interim Chief Executive Officer – Senior Management

Karen Taylor is currently the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Rhondda Cynon Taf Citizens Advice. Her journey with Citizens Advice began in 2002 as a volunteer, and since then, she has held a variety of roles within the organisation, from Cert MAP Debt Adviser to Advice Coach, before joining the Senior Management Team in 2014 as the Senior Advice Services Manager.  Karen became the Deputy Chief Executive in September 2023 before moving to the Interim CEO in April 2025.

As a strategic leader, Karen is dedicated to ensuring the continued delivery of free, impartial, and confidential advice services to the communities of Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond  She is committed to providing high-quality advice that is accessible to everyone, Karen is also passionate about the development our people here at CARCT ensuring we offer meaningful opportunties to our team.

Karen has extensive experience in both local and national service mobilisation, Karen plays a key part in developing innovative concepts for new advice services and has a wealth of experience in building steakholder relationships.


In addition to her role at Citizens Advice, Karen is Co-Chair of the Regional Advice Network Steering Group for Cwm Taf Morgannwg
