
Karen Taylor
Deputy Chief Executive – Senior ManagementKaren Taylor is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Rhondda Cynon Taf Citizens Advice. Her journey with Citizens Advice began in 2002 as a volunteer, and since then, she has held a variety of roles within the organisation, from Cert MAP Debt Adviser to Advice Coach, before joining the Senior Management Team in 2014 as the Senior Advice Services Manager. Karen became the Deputy Chief Executive in September 2023, and was the Interim CEO for a period of time in 2025.
As a strategic leader, Karen is dedicated to ensuring the continued delivery of free, impartial, and confidential advice services to the communities of Rhondda Cynon Taf and beyond. She is committed to providing high-quality advice that is accessible to everyone, Karen is also passionate about the development of our people here at CARCT ensuring we offer meaningful opportunities to our team.
Karen has extensive experience in both local and national service mobilisation, Karen plays a key part in developing innovative concepts for new advice services and has a wealth of experience in building stakeholder relationships.
In addition to her role at Citizens Advice, Karen is Co-Chair of the Regional Advice Network Steering Group for Cwm Taf Morganwg.
